Christian T-shirt company

from Agape Press
by Jody Brown

..."We're not just another Christian T-shirt company."

Those are the words of Rick Wade, CEO of the Second Coming Clothing Co. in Lake Park, Florida.

Wade explains the company was started as a way for believers to "wear the mission" of preaching the gospel. In fact, the firm's trademarked slogan is: "Take Your Faith Out of the Closet, and Put Our Clothes Back In."

Wade, who has a heart for evangelism, says believers' faith in Christ "needs to be taken out of our hearts and worn on the sleeves of our daily walk in life as we witness to others and take an affirmative stand in controversial issues before it is too late."

And the Lord, he claims, has inspired him with more than 300 messages for T-shirts. Among the latest designs in the company's inventory is one that targets the controversial Oscar-nominated film Brokeback Mountain.

According to Wade, 100 percent of the company's net profits are distributed worldwide to ministries delivering humanitarian aid. To further extend its evangelistic outreach, Second Coming Clothing includes a three-month devotional guide with every order.

Trusting The Future To God

from Ted Brabham's Newsletter
This is a lesson, I constantly need to reaffirm! Thought some of you might benefit from it as well.

Jeremiah 29:11

"I say this because I know what I am planning for you. I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future."

Because we are saved by a risen Christ, we can have hope for the future, no matter how troublesome our present circumstances may seem. After all, God has promised that we are His throughout eternity. And, He has told us that we must place our hopes in Him.

Are you willing to place your future in the hands of a loving and all-knowing God? Do you trust in the ultimate goodness of His plan for your life? Will you face today's challenges with optimism and hope? You should. After all, God created you for a very important purpose: His purpose. And you still have important work to do: His work.

Today, as you live in the present and look to the future, remember that God has a plan for you. Act--and believe--accordingly.

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God!

Charles Robert Darwin

English naturalist
(1809-1882)

False facts are highly injurious to the progress of science, for they often endure long; but false views, if supported by some evidence {gee, like the theory of evolution perhaps?????}, do little harm {I would respectfully disagree....}, for every one takes a salutary pleasure in proving their falseness.

In the survival of favoured individuals and races, during the constantly-recurring struggle for existence, we see a powerful and ever-acting form of selection. {~~~A philosophy that would make Hitler PROUD.}

It has been a bitter moritification for me to digest the conclusion that the 'race is for the strong' and that I shall probably do little more but be content to admire the strides others made in science. {No one likes a hypocrite or false modesty~~even in non-believers.}
